Requirements
The Incarcerated Person must submit an application with their holding facility first. The application is provided to the Incarcerated Person by the holding facility.
The application will be reviewed by the holding facility for approval or denial.
If the Application is approved, the facility will forward the approved application to the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court.
Once the Clerk of the Superior Courts office has received the approved application, the Non-Incarcerated Person may download the Marriage License for Incarcerated Persons Packet or obtain the packet for a fee at any one of our office locations.
The Marriage License for Incarcerated Persons Packet will contain instructions and forms. Please read the instructions carefully and follow each step in proper order to ensure your completed forms are acceptable for filing.
